How to Quickly Apply for a Passport Online via M-Paspor
Applying for a passport for a vacation, online work, or other purposes is actually quite easy, as long as you understand the procedures. If you don't, the process can take longer than expected.
Here are some tips for quickly applying for a passport, based on my recent experience.
Requirements for Passport Application:
1. Photocopy of your KTP (ID card) and the original
2. Photocopy of your KK (Family Card) and the original
3. Photocopy of your birth certificate and the original
4. Photocopy of your diploma and the original
Once you have all the required documents, you can proceed to register for an appointment. Starting from 2018, the process has changed, and you now need to register via the immigration office’s application.
The process goes as follows:
1. Register your details on the app and follow the steps carefully.
2. At the end of the registration, you will be given a time and queue number for your passport application.
3. Once you have your appointment time, go to the location mentioned in the schedule.
Important note: If you don’t register online, your application will not be processed. Therefore, make sure to follow the steps in the app.
Once at the immigration office:
1. Bring your phone, fill out the form, and make sure to complete it fully.
2. If your name includes abbreviations (e.g., "M" or "ACH"), you’ll need to provide a statement explaining the meaning of these initials.
3. Organize all your documents into one file along with the form.
4. Queue up and show the registration code from your phone to the officer. They will give you a number, and you will be called to the room for passport processing.
That's it! Simple, right?
After your application, you can usually receive your passport within 3 business days.
Example of Recommendation Letter for Online Work Passport
If you're applying for a passport for online work or offline work, a recommendation letter might be required. Here’s an example:
